AquaExtender

AquaExtender™ is a clear additive for glazing mediums, developed to increase the open time of AquaCreme and AquaGlaze™. AquaExtender™ is especially helpful in dry, hot environments or large projects where it is important to maintain a wet edge. The recommended amount to add to the glazing material ranges from 5 - 25%. The addition of AquaExtender™ to glaze mixtures increases open time, but at the same time greatly slows down the glaze curing time. As a result the full level of durability will take longer to achieve.

Basic Application:

• Seal the work surface with 2 coats of AquaBond or AquaSeal.
• Mix up to 25% AquaExtender™ with AquaCreme or AquaGlaze and the appropriate colorant (see workshop instructions for product).
• Apply glaze mixture to work surface with a brush, roller or spray unit.
• Use the correct glazing technique to establish the desired pattern. Let dry approximately 48 hours before applying any topcoat.
• Topcoat with ColorSeal, AquaGard AquaThane™ where necessary.

Tips:

• DO NOT exceed adding 50% AquaExtender™ to any glazing medium. Always make a sample to ensure desired results.
