Clear Finishing Paste

Clear Finishing Paste™ is a wipe-on, water based acrylic finish that offers both durability, superior bonding and chemical resistance. As a clear, furniture quality topcoat and decorative finishing material, this proprietary product was developed especially for hard to finish surfaces such as carved wood, chairs, ornate moldings and railings.

Basic Application:

• Make sure that the work surface is clean and free of grease, dust, dirt, etc. Smooth the surface using 400 grit sandpaper if necessary.
• Using a paint pad, cheesecloth or lint free terry cloth, apply a thin smooth coat over the entire surface. Apply in straight lines. The material will dry quickly; however, for maximum durability allow each layer to dry at least 30 minutes between additional coats.
• For maximum durability, more than one coat is recommended. Repeat the procedure from above for additional layers.
• Hand rub, buff or rub smooth with fine steel wool after allowing the work surface to cure for 72 hours.

Tips:

• May be used as a colored finish toner as well as a clear topcoat
• Do not apply in a circular motion over flat surfaces
• Thin up to 20% with water
• Product may be tinted with AquaColor™
• Beautiful when used for translucent color stenciling
• Material can be hand rubbed to a satin patina or wet sanded to a feathered edge.
