Designer Metallics Textured Gallons

(Same as regular DESIGNER METALLIC™, just a thicker more textured medium)

Designer Metallics™ are beautiful, high hide, water based decorative paints that may be used as a base coat for glazing, or as a finish coat alone. They are available in many designer colors and a texture grade. All are supplied in a unique, two-part system, which allows for custom color mixing. Part A is a custom reflective color material dispersed in a proprietary co-polymer acrylic resin system. Part B is a metallic concentrate that is added to Part A when ready for application.

Basic Application:

• Part A is a custom reflective color material dispersed in a proprietary co-polymer acrylic resin system. Part B is a metallic concentrate that is added to Part A when ready for application.
• Apply Designer Metallic™ over any clean, dry, painted surface by brush, roll or spray. Spraying works best; however, good results can be obtained with a quality fine nap or sponge roller.
• A high quality brush may also be used.
• For spray applications use a medium size fluid tip cap.
• Wait at least 2 hours between coats.
• Wait overnight before applying any water base or solvent base decorative glazing material.

Tips:

• For our standard colors, add 4 Oz. per quart or 16 Oz. per gallon of metallic concentrate Part B to Designer Metallic™ color base Part A. Mix well for at least 2 minutes or until all of the metallic concentrate is completely dispersed.
• For custom colors, add varying amounts of Part B metallic concentrate, up to 32 Oz. per gallon, to Part A color resin. Up to 12 Oz. per gallon of FauxCreme™ or AquaColor™ may also be added to custom color mixes.
• DO NOT STORE MORE THAN 3 DAYS AFTER ADDING METALLIC CONCENTRATE
• The addition of the metallic concentrate can lead to product instability over an extended period of time. Under certain conditions, such as excessive heat above 95° F, the mixed product may break down in as little as 8 hours and form irritating hydrogen gas and heat. Mix only what you need, then use it at normal room temperatures.
• Storage after the addition of the metallic concentrate into the Designer Metallic™ base is extended under cool conditions.
• Cool conditions may prolong this product's stability. Never refrigerate this product where food is stored.
• Faux Effects™ does not recommend any storage of Designer Metallic™ beyond 3 days after mixing in the metallic concentrate into the Designer Metallic™ base material, even under cool conditions.
