EZ-Kleen™ is a specially formulated water base paint remover and spray gun cleaner. As a paint remover, concentrated EZ-Kleen™ - has the ability to eradicate even old, hard to remove paint. When diluted with water it may be used as a spray gun cleaner. It is also excellent for removing paint from synthetic bristle brushes.

Basic Application:

Method #1 - As a Spray Gun Cleaner For guns with dried paint buildup

  • Add 25 - 50% EZ-Kleen™ - to warm, soapy water.
  • Disassemble spray gun and place gun parts into this solution allowing them to soak for approximately 15 minutes.
  • Remove the parts from the solution and scrub with a nylon scrubbie or medium to soft bristle brush such as a toothbrush or nail brush.
  • Rinse all parts thoroughly with water.
  • For extremely hard to remove paint, repeat the above procedure a second time or apply EZ-Kleen™ full strength to those areas and scrub lightly. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Dry all parts completely with a soft cloth, spray with WD-40 or mineral spirits. Reassemble gun and store.

Method # 2 - For quick cleanups between paint changes

  • With gun fully assembled, fill the gun cup with water.
  • Spray water through system until depleted.
  • Run the system for 1-2 more minutes to dry interior parts out.
  • Fill gun cup with a 50/50 solution of EZ-Kleen™ - and water.
  • Spray this solution through the gun until the cup is empty.
  • Spray the gun for 1-2 more minutes to dry the internal parts.
  • Refill spray gun cup with new paint color. Spray briefly 1-2 times before starting to paint. This will remove any EZ-Kleen™ - residue.
  • *EZ-Kleen™ - has a slight oily consistency. As a result there is no need to oil the gun parts between paint changes.

Tips:

  • EZ-Kleen™ is excellent for removing paint from many surfaces. Make sure to test the product first in a small area in order to ensure that the original surface will not be affected during the paint removal process.
  • Do not allow concentrated EZ-Kleen™ - or diluted EZ-Kleen™ - mixtures to sit on any painted or topcoated surface. This will result in softening of the surface layer and possible removal or damage of the finish.
  • When used as a paint remover, apply the EZ-Kleen™ - and allow the product to sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • This will permit faster, easier paint removal.
