FxThinner™ is a slow drying, water based, resin formulated medium. Simply add color to custom stain new or pre-existing finishes. This durable, acrylic product provides ample open time and dries to a beautiful satin finish. FxThinner™ is used to stain ceilings, cabinets, trim, raw wood and concrete.
Basic Application:
- Lightly sand and clean the work surface.
- Create your own custom color stain by mixing FxThinner™ with varying amounts of AquaColor™, Faux Creme Color™ or Stain & Seal™. Do not over saturate the mixture with color. Several thin coats of stain are recommended to build color intensity and depth.
- Using a soft pad, brush, terry cloth or spray unit, apply a thin, even coat of the FxThinner- color mixture.
- Wipe off any excess. FxThinner™ is slow drying (Depending on drying conditions). Allow to dry thoroughly.
- Build the color by reapplying the stain. Customize your color further by layering different colors if desired.
- Once the staining process is complete and fully dry, it is quite durable.
- For increased protection when needed, apply 2 coats of AquaGard™, ColorSeal™, AquaThane.
Tips:
- Always make a sample to ensure desired results.
- May be used as a glazing medium and clear coat
