LusterSuede Gallons

LusterSuede™ is a revolutionary architectural coating that produces beautiful reflective suede-like patterns. This product is unsurpassed in its simplicity, versatility and ease of repair. The nature of the material allows it to be used to create a stunning variety of high/low dimensional finishes that do not require burnishing to obtain designer quality results.

Basic Application:

• Apply 2 coats of AquaBond™, AquaSeal™ or SetCoat™. For best results choose a color that is similar to the LusterSuede™ color hue. Allow this base to dry for a minimum of 24 hours.
• Using a 1/2" sponge/nap roller, apply an even smooth coat of LusterSuede™ moving the roller in a random pattern. If necessary, LusterSuede™ may be thinned up to 20% with water for this step. Before the LusterSuede™ has dried, pounce the material down to elimate any application brush lines using a large pouncing brush.
• For the second coat, apply LusterSuede™ by brush, and again immediately pounce the applied material.

Tips:

• Mix thoroughly before each use.
• To obtain the best results, attend a manufacturer approved workshop.
• Under normal conditions, no topcoat is required. A topcoat may be used in areas such as kitchens and bathrooms where extra protection is needed.
• When repairing, lightly sand the damaged area and wipe down. Reapply LusterSuede™ and pounce down.
• Always make a sample to ensure the desired result.
• Close the container after each use. Keep airtight. Keep the sides and edges of the container clean. Do not allow dried product to fall into the wet material. A sheet of plastic wrap pressed onto the surface of the material will keep it from drying and protect it from foreign matter.
• LusterSuede™ can be applied to irregular surfaces, such as ironwork and assorted fixtures, by brush or spray. On large walls the application process can be started and stopped at any point in the process without experiencing lap lines, but be sure to pounce out stop areas of the application.
