Olde World Mamorino

Olde World Marmorino™ is a lime based marble product that burnishes to a smooth eye-catching luster. A slightly sandy mixture, this versatile material has the ability to produce both smooth and distressed surfaces depending on the application.

Basic Application:

  • Apply 2 coats of Texture Coat™ to the work surface. Olde World Marmorino™ performs best when applied to a textured surface.
  • Tint Olde World Marmorino™ to the desired color using only Faux Creme Color™ or AquaColor™. Do not exceed 8 oz. of color per 5 kilogram container. When mixing colors, it is important to note that the color of the Olde World Marmorino™ mixture will dry 40 -50% lighter when dry. (If a dark color is required and the addition of more colorant causes the product to become runny, allow the material to sit out overnight until it thickens back to its original viscosity.)
  • Once the Texture Coat™ is dry, trowel an even coat of Olde World Marmorino™ over the work surface using a stainless steel application trowel with rounded corners for the best results.
  • Make sure the trowel is free of defects and scratches. Do not apply the product too thickly or cracking may occur as it dries.
  • Allow the material to dry 3 -4 hours between coats.
  • Apply the second coat in the same manner as the first. Once the second coat is approximately 80 - 90% dry, burnish with a burnishing trowel that is held at a slight angle, never flat.
  • If Olde World Marmorino™ is being applied in areas where moisture is a concern; the work surface may be sealed with Olde World Venetian Sealer™ for extra waterproofing and stain resistance.
  • For added shine, apply Olde World Venetian Wax™, wait 30 minutes and then buff by hand or electric buffer. As an added embellishment, MicaGlow Powder™ may be added to the wax prior to application.

Tips:

  • Do not allow any material to collect and dry on the sides of the container. Never put left over or unused product back into the original container, this may cause contamination.
  • Olde World Marmorino™ may be diluted with up to 5% water - only if necessary.
  • The 'classic' application consists of 2 coats of the same color. A 'distressed' application consists of two colors spotted over a solid base color.
  • Always make a sample to ensure the desired results
